Paul Watson

Founder & Head Coach

An elite, nationally competitive athlete, Paul has been transforming people’s health and lives for over 25 years. His customized programs have transformed men and women around the country, crafting everyone from elite athletes to family fitness members, and changing their lives from the inside and out, physically as well mentally.

Combining a formal education with his drive to push the boundaries of human physical capabilities, his goal is to educate the public on the extraordinary health benefits of hard training throughout the  human body. Paul has worked extensively with firefighters, police, and college athletes.

But his niche is preparing those that are training for (or already in) one of the elite communities of the military special ops as well as the racing community and becoming a leading coach for HYROX, Spartan, and DEKA conditioning and racing throughout the country.

Enlisted in the military after 9/11, proudly served 2 tours of duty as a tech for Navy SEAL Team 5

Relocated to Fresno in 2009, graduated Fresno Police Academy same year

Started Elite Physical Training in 2010

Opened Warrior Fitness January 1, 2015

Defied all government mandates to close during the 2020 pandemic, and proudly kept his doors open for freedom — the only gym in Fresno to openly do that

Coach & Operations Manager

Certified NASM trainer specializing in strength, endurance, speed, and high-intensity interval training. Al works with athletes of all ages — from youth to tactical professionals — blending group fitness expertise with a relentless focus on performance.

Morgan McGrath

Elite Rowing & ERG Coach

World-class athlete with multiple international wins and 11 world records in SkiERG. Morgan brings unmatched energy, technical expertise, and side-by-side coaching that takes beginners to competitors. Train with her in rowing, SkiERG, or BikeERG — and get ready to hit new personal bests.

Jason Cortez

Boxing & Conditioning Coach

A proven Spartan, DEKA, and ERG competitor, Jason delivers some of the toughest conditioning sessions around. From leg-strength and cardio to explosive boxing drills, his classes push athletes of every level past their limits. Expect high energy, motivation, and serious results.

Specialties: Boxing drills, leg-strength training, Spartan/DEKA conditioning.

Do I need to be in shape before joining Warrior Fitness?

Not at all. Our classes are built to challenge beginners and elite athletes alike. Coaches scale every workout so you’ll get pushed at your level.

What types of classes do you offer?

Each day is programmed for a specific focus — Chest & Arms, Legs & Cardio, Back & Biceps, Legs & Shoulders — plus Spartan OCR Training, HYROX prep, boxing drills, and more. Every session is 60 minutes and capped for quality coaching.

Is Warrior Fitness just for men?

No way. We train men and women who are serious about results. Whether your goal is to lean out, get stronger, improve endurance, or conquer OCR/fitness races, our program is built for you.

How is this different from CrossFit or a regular gym?

We’re not about random WODs or machines collecting dust. Every class is structured, coach-led, and designed for maximum efficiency — with zero fluff. Our programming is proven by military special ops, elite athletes, and everyday members who want real results.

What if I’ve never lifted weights or done OCR before?

That’s exactly why we exist. Our coaches break down technique, provide modifications, and build your confidence one step at a time. You don’t need experience — just the willingness to work.

How do Warrior Fitness classes work?

Each Warrior Fitness class runs 60 minutes and is coach-led from start to finish. Every session is capped for quality instruction and built around a daily focus (strength, endurance, OCR prep, or conditioning). You don’t need experience — workouts scale for beginners and challenge even elite athletes. To join, just reserve online or show up 10–15 minutes early to secure your spot.
